2004/12/20

Mathieu Sibelle: COO Int'l NRJ Group
To fortify it's postion on the german market, the NRJ Group is planning a nationwide campaign installing an evening programme to be spread nationwide on all NRJ stations. According to Mathieu Sibelle, chief operations officer international activities of NRJ Group, this shall, along with other nationwide focussed activities, help the group to gain the state of omnipotence that it already has on the french market.

"Until now, we are a decentralized organization, without national steering. Our goal for fiscal year 2004/2005 is to become germany's leading national radio network.", explains Sibelle the upcoming strategies. The nationwide evening programme will be run "with a community concept, produced locally" and the possibility to "provide a common advertising window".

Jean-Charles Mathey: CEO NRJ Group
According to Jean-Charles Mathey, chief executive officer of NRJ Group, the german branch will be restructured "to allow the upcoming changes and developments in this country." He continues with the outlook, that "in the beginning of 2005 the group will announce alliances with other media groups" in germany, whenever there is "a possiblity for NRJ to become a large player" with "a satisfactory important (national) coverage".

These alliances will be limited only "to the sector of the german radio market" but aren't "automatically part of the NRJ brand", they could be started "under completeley new labels in certain cities" continues Mathey.
